Justin Norden MD, MBA, MPhil is CEO and Co-Founder of Qualified Health. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford Medicine in the Department of Biomedical Informatics Research where he teaches the Generative AI and Medicine course. Previously, Dr. Norden was CEO and founder of Trustworthy AI, a company focused on algorithm safety and trust, which was acquired by Waymo (Google Self-Driving). He was a Partner at GSR Ventures leading AI in healthcare investments, worked on the healthcare team at Apple, and helped start the Stanford Center for Digital Health.He is a prolific contributor on AI and healthcare and his work has been featured in NEJM, STAT, Fierce Healthcare, Health Affairs, US News and World Report and more.

Beau Norgeot, PhD, is co-founder and Chief AI Officer at Qualified Health. Dr. Norgeot has dedicated his career to building AI systems in healthcare and has led AI teams in health tech startups and Fortune 50 companies. As CDO at Lucid Lane Dr. Norgeot built and scaled breakthrough applications of generative AI in therapy and behavioral health settings. As a Staff VP of AI at Elevance Health, he scaled the AI team from 0 to 200 members, developed novel AI evaluation product processes, and launched generative AI assistants that were adopted nation-wide. As an academic he is highly-cited on clinical AI reporting standards, a developer of widely-adopted software for safely handling PHI, and holds multiple patents. Beau earned his PhD in AI from UCSF.

Shantanu Phatakwala, is co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Qualified Health. He is an accomplished healthcare entrepreneur with diverse experience spanning analytics, technology, strategy, and sales. Shantanu was the Chief Data Science Officer at Haven, a healthcare venture formed by Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, and JP Morgan Chase. In this role, he spearheaded all aspects of data and technology strategy and delivery. Earlier, Shantanu was a founding member of Evolent Health [NYSE:EVH] where he delivered population health and value-based care solutions to over 25 healthcare systems and health plans. Earlier, Shantanu was the first data scientist at Resolution Health (a start-up acquired by Elevance Health). Shantanu’s educational background includes training in machine learning from Stanford University, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Engineering.

Nirav R. Shah, MD, MPH, is co-founder of Qualified Health with experience as an operator, scientist, innovator, and regulator. His expertise spans public health, digital health and generative AI, public and private health insurance, and clinical operations across the continuum of care. Dr. Shah is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and is a graduate of Harvard College and Yale School of Medicine. He is an Advisor to the CDC Director, Senior Fellow of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), independent director of STERIS plc [NYSE:STE], and trustee of the John A. Hartford Foundation. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Kaiser Permanente in Southern California, and as Commissioner of the New York State Department of Health.

Kedar Mate, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer and co-founder of Qualified health. He is the Former President and CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), a global organization advancing equitable health outcomes through improvement science. With over 20 years of experience in healthcare management, public health, and quality improvement, he champions innovative approaches to enhance global health. Dr. Mate co-hosts the "Turn On The Lights" podcast, where he delves into the intersection of health, social justice, and leadership with a diverse array of inspiring guests. He also co-leads the Rise to Health Coalition, a national health equity initiative by IHI, AMA, and Race Forward. Dr. Mate is passionate about creating systems that address social determinants of health, foster collaboration and learning, and promote innovation and excellence.
